During the season of Advent we pause from the busyness of life and behold Jesus. We become like what we behold. Advent is a season of looking back and cherishing the work that Jesus did in his first coming, and then looking forward with joyful anticipation at his second coming. This advent season we find solidarity with pre-Jesus people of God as we examine Old Testament prophecies and passages that were fulfilled (in-part) during Jesus’ first Advent, but will be fully realized at his second!
